Bradford Autism Support Objectives
- At Bradford Autism Support we believe that all should have access to our services, regardless of social background, ethnicity etc.
- At Bradford Autism Support, we understand that undergoing the process of getting a diagnosis for child can be a very difficult time. So, whether you have recently had a diagnosis, are undergoing the process or if your child was diagnosed some time ago, you are still more than welcome to attend our parent support groups.
- Every week we organise activities for children to take part in. These activities enable them to develop confidence and social skills.
- On a monthly basis, we run Asian parent support groups. An interpreter is present and this group enables Asian mothers to socialise and take part in activities.
- A monthly newsletter is published so the wider community is aware of the latest news within autism, any updates and conferences that are taking place.
- Our Link Worker aims to work with parents and promote Bradford Autism Supports services to the community. Our Link Worker liases woth other organisations, such as Education Bradford and Barnardo's and invites guest speakers to the support groups, in order to provide them with support and information.
As you can tell, we have a lot to offer at Bradford Autism Support and we always welcome feedback on how we can improve our services. If you have a query, comment, question or would like to volunteer at Bradford Autism Support then please contact David or Nikki on 01274 721932.
